The Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County teams up with the Jewels for Gems Program to present:
The Foundations of Investing Workshop
Hosted by Ty Robinson, Edward Jones Financial Advisor
May 13, 2011 - Trenton, NJ: On May 26, 2011 from 5pm-7:30pm, the Boys and Girls Club on 212 Centre Street will house the first of its kind, Foundations of Investing Workshop. The Foundations of Investing is free to the public and will focus on two important dynamics:
- Career Development for Boys and Girls Club members and High School Students (5:00 – 6:00pm) Adults are welcome to attend with their children.
- 30 minute Intermission
- Adult / Local Business Section focusing on Investing and Financial Future Development (6:30 – 7:30pm)
The Foundations of Investing Workshop will be hosted by Trenton’s Own, Ty Robinson. Ty is a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones (www.EdwardJones.com), operating out of the Robbinsville, NJ office. Mr. Robinson is also President/CEO of the Granville Academy.
The Career Development segment will focus on Financial Service Careers, Educational Requirements, Pro’s and Con’s of Financial Service Careers & Basic Stock Market Information.
The Adult / Local Business segment will focus on Basic Stock Market Information, The Cost of Waiting to Save, Retirement IRA vs. ROTH, & Stocks vs. Mutual Funds. Adults and Local Businesses must RSVP to Willie.Foskey@Gmail.com before May 24, 2011 at 12 noon (RSVP in the Subject Line of the email).
